“Shell Shocked” is a selection from a series of ink on paper portrait drawings that have been in progress since 2015. “Shell Shocked” is the follow-up to the “Making Space” book, a series of drawings based on landscape long-shots in news media showing explosions. Shell shock is a term coined in World War I to loosely describe what is referred to as posttraumatic stress disorder today.
